Mechanic Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanic Supervisor to lead our team in Richmond, BC. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure quality standards are met, and contribute to the growth of our automotive repair business.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate activities of mechanics and service technicians.

Inspect work performed to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex vehicle issues as required.

Assign tasks and monitor workflow to maximize productivity.

Train and mentor team members to enhance technical and customer service skills.

Maintain accurate service records and manage inventory of tools and parts.

Communicate with customers to explain repairs and ensure satisfaction.

Enforce workplace safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements
Red Seal Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician Certification (or equivalent).

Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive repair, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Proficient in using automotive diagnostic tools and software.

Valid BC driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing a multi-bay automotive repair shop.

Familiarity with hybrid and electric vehicle systems.

Knowledge of BC motor vehicle inspection standards.
