An Automotive Dismantler contribute to saving the environment by dismantling scrapped vehicles and removing hazardous materials such as fluids and properly disposing of them. An Automotive Dismantler also removes parts that can be recycled and prepares the rest of the vehicle for proper disposal. Using proper tools and power equipment to remove parts and body sections, they also identify parts and add to inventories for resale and/or use.

Job Training

An Auto Dismantler doesn’t require any technical training, however, as part of the Auto Recycler Certification program, there is an online course, Auto Dismantler Orientation available from the Automotive Retailers Association.
